Archival materials for long-term wedding storage:
Your wedding day generates a significant archive, a gown, photographs, invitations, handwritten notes, pressed flowers, ribbons and more.
This collection brings together everything needed to store them properly, using the same acid-free, archival materials relied on by museums, libraries, and professional conservators.
Each item is chosen to protect against the primary causes of long-term deterioration: acid migration, and physical damage from unsuitable packaging.
Store it well now, and what you've kept becomes something worth passing on.

How to use this kit
Where to start
Before you begin, put on your cotton gloves. Oils from skin can cause damage to both fabric and photographs.
Your gown and veil
Choose the garment box size that best fits your dress when loosely folded (see sizing guide or contact us if you're unsure). Lay sheets of acid-free tissue between each fold to cushion the fabric and prevent permanent crease lines. Use additional tissue to lightly stuff the bodice and sleeves, supporting the shape without compressing it. Place the veil in the same box, separated by tissue, or store it flat in one of the drop-side archive boxes.
Photographs and printed materials
Slide prints or documents into the polypropylene enclosures backed by a museum backing card. The card will help keep items flat and is also good for separating more than one item per enclosure. Store enclosed prints and documents in the archival presentation box or four flap folders. Keep items of similar size together where possible.
Invitations, cards, and flat keepsakes
Use the four flap folders for individual items you want to keep separately such as orders of service, handwritten notes, a pressed flower wrapped in tissue. Label each folder on the outside using the Pigma Micron pen, so contents are identifiable without handling.
Bulkier keepsakes
The drop-side archive boxes are designed for items that don't sit flat such as a small gift, a ribbon, a wedding favour. The drop-side means you can access contents without tipping or crushing what's stored on top. These boxes are also great for storing the loose collection of documents, prints or wedding cards you might have.
Labelling
Use the self-adhesive label pockets to label and note what is in each box.
Storage conditions
Once packed, store boxes in a cool, dry, stable environment, away from attics, garages, and exterior walls where temperature and humidity fluctuate. Storage spaces like a wardrobe or under the bed are ideal.
